In reply to Joan. Hi Joan- Chili beans are actually small red beans in a chili sauce. If you're in the States, you'll find them in many grocery stores near the chili or canned bean sections.

I love this recipe and have changed it for us. I let it simmer instead of baking it, sometime I just add 2large canes of diff types of baked beans and leave the juice, every time it come out great. It’s a
Ways different as I always seem to add different flavor, BUT alway great.
