I just made a batch using the Ball recipe, with berries I picked just today, and was baffled as to why on earth my “syrup” was jelly! 🙂 It’ll work, just not for the purpose I originally intended. Thankfully I still have two buckets of berries in the fridge and can let them hang out a bit before attempting another batch. Thanks for the tip! I am blessed to have a friend with 15-20 blueberry bushes…and she doesn’t like blueberries! I get to pick to my heart’s content. Yea for blueberries!

My questions is, are the berries sweet or tart? I have 24 pounds of sweet already picked and in the freezer. We love them plain and in smoothies. The tart ones are just coming on and we love them in muffins and breads.
