It really is quite different. Ranch is a creamy dressing. Buttermilk vinaigrette is just a wee bit of cultured buttermilk in an oil and vinegar dressing. Give it a whirl!

It’s really not so bad as you might think. Save yourself some grief and buy really thick stalks for this. It’ll go pretty quickly. It’s brainless work, really 😀 And normally, I’m a die hard roasted asparagus girl, but this one is giving the roasties a run for the money.

I think I might grow tired of shaving two pounds(!) of asparagus with a vegetable peeler! That’s a lot of asparagus! How long does it take? I’m not sure the amazing taste I’m quite sure of would be enough to lure me away from roasting asparagus which is my favorite vegetable not only because of taste but because of how easy it is to prepare.
