The orange peel sugar sounds DIVINE, Brinda! Welcome! I’m so glad you found me. 🙂

Thy puff up so big in the oven. I have to say the dough is very thick like you said, almost like a cookie dough but I’m not complaining lol. I had an extra treat as well. Last week i dehydrated my orange peels, ground them up and mixed them with my cane sugar and have been waiting to use it and this worked absolutely perfect for sprinkling on top! Since I found your site I’ve been canning like crazy. Making the red pepper sauce next weekend!

Thought you might want to correct the recipe (though a little extra butter probably wouldn’t hurt!

GREAT website. I’m addicted!

It’s awfully nice to have them ready so quickly. And the thing about the ‘no-fruit’ eater is that he’s consistently inconsistent. He won’t eat recognizable fruit, but he’ll suck back a smoothie with such enthusiasm that I’m sure he’ll freeze his brain permanently. And the hot dog thing? Hilarious. These kids keep us on our toes, don’t they?

I bet this would taste even better since they’ll be freshly baked.

Wanna trade a no-fruit eater for a fruit eater with a highly defined hot dog palate. I can’t find my son’s brand of chicken hot dogs and the two other brands barely got a nibble. The dogs sure appreciated his finickiness though.

If you’re going to use the dried fruit, you might try briefly soaking the fruit in some alcohol or juice to rehydrate it just a bit.

Janel- I recommend them! They’re super handy and wash up in the dishwasher. I wish I could wash my kids in the dishwasher.

Grace- Thank you! I hope you try these pithy little love muffins 🙂

Jo- Thanks. They are wonderful. Not that I usually get to eat them. The kids inhale them.

I’m printing this off as I type, and gonna give them a shot. WOnder, if one didn’t have blueberries, would they stand up to chopped apples, or some other kind of dried fruit? Or say cranberries? I’ll give that a shot too! :)Off to feel the love. . .
