My Significant Other is a huge fan of strawberries, so this recipe is going on my “let’s try it” list. I’m a big fan of tossing the strawberries with some balsamic vinegar and sugar first. Is that safe to do here? I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be, but if there’s some chemical tomfoolery that I’m unaware of, I’m not sure I’d be as creative as you in salvaging my mistakes.
