This is fantastic and oh so delicious! I totally understand the whole “authentic or not” debate – I’ve had the same feeling/comments for my favourite pork carnitas recipe, but at the end of the day if it tastes amazing and it’s something that you and our family love to eat then that’s all the “authentic” one needs.

And this does taste amazing, and we love it. Thanks for sharing this recipe. And the photography is killer as well.

I have made these several times….today I included the salted lemon peel ( finally) and the candied jalepenos…over the top wicked delish and worth every single moment!

I made these earlier, but lacking beans and lettuce, and they were devoured nearly immediately. Myself and roomie declared them to be as good, if not better than the local fave fast food Mexican place here. 🙂 I’m going to make these allll the time. Yum!
