A Rainbow of Colorful Decor Ideas for Your Philly Wedding
Dress up your tablescape, champagne tower and more in bright, vibrant hues.
While we’ll always love a classic or neutral color palette, colorful wedding decor brings a one-of-a-kind pop to a Big Day. Guests will be delighted by the splashy hues and bold patterns that play across everything from tablescapes to day-of signage. That’s why we at Philadelphia Wedding teamed up with Philadelphia-area vendors to create sunny, vibrant designs to inspire your celebration. Check them all out here.
The Tablescape
Shannon Wellington Weddings, with rentals by Something Vintage Rentals and florals by Fresh Designs Florist
Max out your dining tables with settings that come alive through an unexpected mix of playful patterns, textures and hues.
The Ceremony Aisle
Myrtle & Magnolia
Ground a natural aisle in a bold color. Here, florals in shades of violet — think local dahlias, allium, cosmos, celosia, blue spirea, Japanese anemones, clematis, tweedia and scabiosa — form the base, with foliage including smoke bush, forsythia, ninebark, huck and ruscus adding texture. ‘Moab’ roses pop against the purple blooms thanks to their big, fluffy petals and brownish tones.
The Seating Chart
Rosier Event Rentals, with florals by Tryst Floral
A color like orange will make a fresh statement. This large-scale chart features limewash paint for texture, with guest names printed on acrylic. A handmade garland of orange slices — plus dahlias and marigolds in the color scheme — finishes things off.
The Champagne Tower
Feast Your Eyes Catering
Rather than sticking with the classic golden tone of champagne, pour a sparkling rosé. Martini glasses instead of traditional coupes offer a modern take. Anthuriums and more blooms cascade around the scene.
The Photo Backdrop
Karina Puente
Color-block your photo moment. These hand-dyed, hand-cut papel picado art pieces in turquoise and mint are displayed to form a layered installation that immerses you in the cool hues. Guests can peek out from the strips (which can be up to 15 feet in length) or pose in front of them — whatever suits their fancy.
The Cake
The Sugary
Make the cake — and sweets! — your something blue. This three-tiered confection is frosted in steel blue Swiss meringue buttercream and finished with a deckled edge, plus wafer-paper blossoms and ruffles, dried ruscus, bunny tails and billy balls as accents. To pair with the pastry: mini panna cotta with blueberry topping, Italian rainbow cookies in ombré, and royal iced sugar cookies with wafer-paper hydrangea blossoms.
The Favors
Wind and Waves Soaps
Send your guests home with a thoughtful gift that draws on your color scheme, like these handmade yellow soaps. Their colors are crafted from Brazilian clay and annatto-seed-infused olive oil or turmeric and mango powder. Their scents? Lemon and clementine or lemongrass.
