I believe that was indeed a corned round. It has been quite a while, but it appears to be that to me, too. Another option is to ask your grocery to order the brisket. They do that for me a few times a year!

Was looking at the new pictures of your corn beef and was wondering if it’s a corned eye round?? Never heard of it until today when I went to the grocery and they had them. Your pictures look, to me, like eye round. If so, oh happy day for me. I corn my own brisket but I can’t always get one. Usually have to wait for the (Jewish) holidays for it to show up in my local grocery. But if I can corn an eye round, OH BOY!!!!!
